At the invitation of Christian Bergqvist, Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen, our Managing Director Michael Zuckerman delivered a lecture on funding of anti-trust claims before the English courts. Mr. Zuckerman was one of the speakers at a conference organised by the Centre for Market and Economic Law, part of the University of Copenhagen. He was joined by Christian Nielsen, Head of Competition Law at Arla Foods, a company with which Redress has a long standing business relationship. In his lecture, Mr. Zuckerman focused on what costs can be funded in the context of a follow-on damages claim, the English courts’ view on coverage of costs as well as ways in which a claim can be funded by a third party litigation funder. Attendees at the conference included academics, as well as representatives from Bech-Bruun, Kroman Reumert, Gorrissen Federspiel, Danske Bank, Velliv, Pension & Livsforsikring, and the Danish Competition Authority to name but a few.
